Sponsor/Donor Plaque Options: Management Analyst Lea Kolek reviewed with the Committee the recommendations from the vendor (Eagle's Mark) regarding the Veterans Memorial Sponsor Plaque, which staff is to place in Council Chambers.

The following summarizes the options chosen for the plaque:

a.      Wood – Alder.  It is the least expensive hardwood with a consistent grain and is extremely durable.
b.      Stain – Cherry, light colored.  Staff is to request that the stain also have a non-reflective, no-gloss satin finish.
c.      Bevel edging – 3/8” round over in order to add some individuality and depth.
d.      Nameplates – Black brass with a gold edging.  This style has the greatest number of size options and would be
available in the future should any one of the sponsor plates need replacing.
e.      Font – Copperplate Gothic.  This is the same font used on the Veterans Memorial tri-fold brochure and was chosen for
         consistency.
f.       Level names – Military insignia stars are to be used to indicate the level of donation provided ($5,000+ = 1 star,
        $25,000+ = 2 stars, $50,000+ = 3stars, and $100,000+ = 4 stars).
